Baby Mountain...

There's this nifty new term for pregnant bellies nowadays called baby "bumps"...well, I'm going to have to change that to baby "mountain" in our case:) After many requests, I'm going to be brave and post a pic of said mountain for your laughing pleasure:) This pic is taken at almost 28 weeks (7 months) so I have at least two more months to go (Full term for twins usually is 36 weeks).

This weekend I had to buy more more tops that are bigger/longer to accomodate these growing monkies:) Thank goodness for Old Navy Maternity clearance sales!:)

On another note I'm actually feeling pretty good...just starting to slow down a bit with walking, etc. and I'm also adjusting to restless nights of sleeping but other than that, no complaints on my end:)....Kirt, on the other hand, may have a few....like how I cried like a maniac last night at the ending of "Father of the Bride II"...it was ugly...:)

DIY Weekend:)

We have been busy bees all weekend long on the nursery! My WONDERFUL friend Rebeka came over yesterday for around 11 hours to help us paint and put up the cribs...we are forever indebted to her:) We still need to do some more things before I post pics but I will leave you with a picture of Kirt painting...its his favorite thing to do...BWAHAHAHA:) Oh and by the way the reason he has 3 fingers up is because it was his third time painting the walls:) He didn't really appreciate me changing my mind...I tried to explain to him that a big part of decorating is "learn as you go" but I don't think it helped:) Thank you honey for being patient with me!:)

Today we are painting a dresser/changing table that Rebeka gave us (it used to be in her boy's nursery). Fun stuff!

....oh the decisions.

Now that the preganacy is more than half over we have come to the conclusion that we probably shoud get our act together and start getting our house "baby" ready.... it is so hard to be motivated in this AZ heat:)

So over the last couple of weeks we have started to get our act together...we thought we would drop you line to keep you all in the loop. We picked out the furniture and worked to get the bedding made....It turned out awesome. You guys are going to love the pictures....the seamstress did an amazing job.

What is interesting is all of the different choices that we have for colors. For some reason Kirtus did not like the choice on the right (below pic)....he said his son would not sleep in a pink room...so we are going to go with a white wall with harlequin diamonds...its all about compromises:)

Picture below: wall of paint samples...note to self: its very expensive to get paint "samples"...you have to buy the whole quart! So we resorted to taping up the sample squares that are free!:)

So hopefully by next weekend the nursery will be almost complete! Even with working on the nursery AND feeling/seeing these babies move around we still can't believe we will have two children in less than 3 months!:)

Kirtus is getting his practice in though with our dog Sam:) Poor Sam...he has no idea what he's in for!
