New Car Seats?

Ummmm...I think we need to get new car seats soon...my babies are busting out of them!

Especially compared to how small they once were- look at my little Lilly-bean!

Crib Time!

I think it's so funny that I want my babies to reach their milestones so fast and at the same time I'm devastated when I see them growing up:)

Point in case....here I am "helping" them stand in their cribs so I can get a cute picture of them standing up like big boys and girls:) REALLY? What am I thinking? Why am I assisting them in their ever growing plot to escape from the crib?:) I just can't help myself...

The next generation of LEVI STRAUSS models:)

My friend Yurina and I have been giggling over these "jean" diaper commercials for the last couple of weeks:) Our husbands thought we were CRAZY for wanting to buy them for our babies buy HEY, they are a limited edition and our babies only wear diapers once so of course we wanted them to be part of history!:) After we put her little boy Mikel and my twins in the diapers last night we quickly realized these could be the next models for LEVI STRAUSS:)

...we have high hopes for our children:)

I'm really starting to worry about why I enjoy pictures of my daughter crying so much:) I promise she is a happy baby- she just has her moments!...

....ESPECIALLY when her brother likes to beat her up:) His new favorite thing is to climb on top of her, try to bite her face, and to steal any toy she is playing with. You can just see the mischievous look on his face in this picture:) I'm going to have to keep my eye on him!

Words can't express my love for this little guy:) His new favorite thing to do in his bedroom is to play under his crib- so funny that he goes straight for it every time! Such an adventurous little boy!

Photo Shoot Gone BAD:)

I got this super cute tutu at Target for only $4.99 and couldn't wait to try it on Lilly but I must have caught her at the wrong time because she wanted NOTHING to do with it:) Oh well...maybe in a couple of weeks she will:)

I was trying to calm her down so I started jumping her up and down and she LOVED it! There is nothing funnier than a baby who is laughing and crying at the same time:) I tried to upload a video of it but blogspot is fighting with me. I'll try later!

Anyone who knows me well knows that I just LOVE reading and I'm so passionate about my children being good little readers:) So it was much to my SHEER delight when Kirtus came home last night with a special present for the babies. He was so excited and pulled this little book out of his briefcase.

It was his first time reading to them:)...It was one of those moments where my heart was just so full and I just wanted to burst into tears! I'm just glad I had the thought to grab the camera:)

I've read to Jake and Lilly a few times but the babies just wanted to eat the books:) I think that last night the milk was a great distraction:) Hopefully this will come to be a regular routine in the Brutsman household!

Because I'm such a sucker for before/afters...

After 8 months outside of my belly I think they are really starting to like each other:) I was FINALLY able to capture a picture of this new phenomenon during feeding time:) They keep trying to hold each other's hands!

8 month update (I'm pretending I've done this every month:)

Jake has two teeth and one more on the way! He is sitting up and rolling everywhere and really trying to crawl! Still happy as a lark unless he is A. hungry or B. tired.

Lilly has a tooth coming in and she is making sure we all know about it!:) She is also rolling, sitting and wanting to crawl:) She is our "diva" but since getting on her new formula she has been a different baby and only cries when she doesn't get her way- HA!:)

They both LOVE music and we all sing in the kitchen every morning during breakfast:) Not sure how long that will last once they realize I can't sing:) We are eating this time up and enjoying every minute with them! We've done lots of traveling this summer (New York, Mexico, and Texas) and the babies did great! Of course traveling is a LOT different for Kirtus and I but we've adjusted and enjoy our little family:)
